The Asian Congress of Fluid Mechanics (ACFM) was organized in Bangalore, India, in 1980 with the intention of encouraging scientific and technical cooperation and exchange among Asian fluid scientists and technologists. It presents the most recent developments in theoretical, experimental and computational researches as well as industrial and technological advances in the field of fluid mechanics. The Congress was originally held every three years. Since 1995, the Congress has been held every two years.
The next, 13th ACFM will be held in December 17-21, 2010 at Dhaka, Bangladesh. The Organizing Committee members are committed to organizing 13th ACFM at the high professional standards as the previous Congresses.
The Congress language is English. It is expected that the Congress will attract many participants from Asian countries as well as outside. The main goal of the ACFM is to review recent progress achieved in the field of Fluid Mechanics to facilitate the exchange of results and hold discussions on major fluid flow problems among scientists and engineers. The Congress organizers would like to promote a broad cooperation and exchange of new ideas among specialists in order to consolidate recent advances in the fundamental knowledge of fluid mechanics and the industrial processes involved.
